Seven Falls

Seven Falls is an amazing set of waterfalls that cascade 181 feet down a box canyon. Visitors gain access to the top of the falls by walking up 224 stairs or taking an elevator. The falls will light up at night with multicolored bulbs and are very enchanting. The attraction has a self guided audio tour to give facts about the geology and history of the scenery that surrounds you. There is a café that serves a basic lunch, snacks and drinks. Keepsakes of your visit can be bought in three different shops, and there are memorabilia displays to enhance your education.

There are two trails at the top of the halls that take about an hour to hike. Inspiration Point is aptly named for the fantastic views of Colorado Springs. In addition, this is Helen Hunt’s original gravesite, where she asked to be buried due to the views inspiration. Midnight Falls is a shorter hike that leads to a waterfall. Wear good shoes and stay on the trails.

During the summer, Native American dancers entertain visitors while they meander through the canyon and visitor shops. During Christmas time, which is when the locals usually visit, they have special holiday lights, and Santa Claus. A discounted admission goes to charity during this time.
